The best time to visit Phuket is during the northeast monsoon season which is from December through March. It is when you’ll get the most sun and the least amount of rain! Phuket is warm all year round, though it is hottest during April to May and September to October. Monsoon season in Phuket is between May and October, the water conditions during this time can be quite dangerous and you may not be able to see the beaches in their best conditions.

Transportation can be quite inconvenient in Phuket, so the best way to get around Phuket would really depend on where you intend to go. Tuk Tuks are actually the most expensive form of transportation on the island, they are even more expensive than taxis. Songthaews are quite common all around Thailand, they are pickup trucks or small trucks that have a roof which is used for shade and also two benches in the bed for passengers to sit. The final destination is often displayed on the Songthaews however they will stop, collect and drop off passengers anywhere on their route.
Getting around between the beach areas
To get around between the beach areas, you may take the Phuket Smart Bus, it takes you from beach to beach and rides all the way from Phuket airport to Rawai Beach and return. Along the way, it will stop at 12 stations, the beach stops will include Bangtao Beach, Surin Beach, Patong Beach, Karon and Kata Beach and also Rawai Beach. Phuket Smart Bus costs starting from 50 baht (around $12.7 hkd) for the shortest distance and for the longest distance, it will cost 170 baht. (around $43.16 hkd). The good thing about the Phuket Smart Bus is that it is cheap and also it is free for kids that are under the age of 7!

After getting on a flight to Phuket, you’d surely want to relax first! Spend a few hours at the resort and make the most out of their top-notch facilities. Island Hopping (Phi Phi Island)
Island hopping is a must while in Phuket, there are many smaller islands that are worth going to as these islands have white sandy beaches with crystal clear water, perfect for snorkelling or diving! Phi Phi island is one of the best and most popular islands to visit. I would highly recommend to go into town to book an island tour as that is where you will find the cheapest and most value for money tours! Around Bangla road, there are many small stalls which sell all sorts of Island tours. The island tours tend to include a buffet lunch and also a complimentary round-trip transfer. When booking the island tour, it is best to book it the day before you go since most tours begin very early in the morning.
Phi Phi Island
Phi Phi Island is only a 45-minute speedboat trip or a 90-minute ferry boat ride from Krabi or Phuket. It offers many tropical beaches as well as crystal clear waters and wonderful marine life. People who visit the island also tend to walk up to the Phi Phi viewpoint, it will take around 20-30 minute to stroll to the top! From there, you can get some breath-taking pictures of Koh Phi Phi – maybe even some for your instagram!
Dinner at the Paresa Resort Phuket
After a tiring and eventful day visiting the islands, it’s time to sit back and unwind. There are 2 on-site restaurants in the resort which serve the best dishes in the city, Diavolo and Talung Thai. Diavolo serves mediterranean and international cuisine whereas Talung Tahi serves thai cuisine. Enjoy a one time complimentary dinner for two when you book with us!
